Ashley Kelly was born and raised in San Francisco to teen parents and a large, loving family. Her mother, a single teen mom, fought tirelessly to become a registered nurse, teaching Ashley the power of resilience, faith, and perseverance. Ashley’s upbringing allowed her to experience both low-income and middle-class environments in the Bay Area, offering a unique perspective on how different lifestyles shape opportunity and belonging. Through it all, stories were her anchor—her escape, joy, and home. One of her favorite memories growing up was sitting with her great-grandmother, listening to wild and heartfelt stories about her life, all shared over a meal that made each moment feel like an experience. It was in those moments that Ashley realized storytelling is not just entertainment—it’s a powerful tool for connection, healing, and shared humanity.

Career

For over eight years, Ashley worked alongside top-performing producers and investors in Hollywood and Silicon Valley, supporting leaders whose decisions shaped industries on a global scale. In these high-stakes environments, she provided Executives as well as Founders support that allowed them to focus on big-picture goals, strategy, and innovation. Yet, despite contributing to the success of visionary leaders, she repeatedly found herself at a dead-end—unfulfilled, dissatisfied, and ultimately burnt out. She believed in her purpose but struggled to connect the dots in her own life. Her breakthrough came when she took ownership of her own story, seeking to understand, heal, and rewrite the narrative of her life. By embracing her past and using it as a tool for growth, Ashley realized her true calling—to help others do the same. She leaned into her natural gifts: her ability to see the deeper aspects of people, her passion for understanding and loving them, and her expertise in storytelling. Driven by a relentless desire
to help others uncover their purpose, she stopped waiting for permission to pursue what she already knew she was meant to do. She refused to let money dictate her direction. Instead, she followed love, passion, and hope—investing in the health, purpose, and humanity of those around her. This investment organically grew into A Three Act Story. In addition to founding A Three Act Story, Ashley is an Executive Assistant at Menlo Ventures and serves as the Chief Growth Officer of Be Greater Than, a health & wellness brand. She is also writer, filmmaker, and public speaker. Outside of her professional work, Ashley thrives in creativity, travel, and physical activity—finding her deepest fulfillment in nature, where she reconnects with herself, refines her vision, and continues her journey of growth.
